We’ve officially launched the Blogger Babes Forum—your new, personal social network is a place where Blogger Babes members can join dedicated groups to network with like-minded bloggers, carry out discussions, and motivate each other 24/7.
The forum is our virtual equivalent to in-person Blogger Babes meet-ups, since we know how valuable those relationships have proved to be. And, of course, it’s totally free to join.
How to Sign Up for the Blogger Babes Forum
Step 1: Register/Login
Whenever you want to visit, you’ll find the forum on our Babes page, right under Connect.
Hit on the Chat Now! button and you’ll be taken to the Forum Login page.
Here, hit Sign Up Now! to create your account. Fill out the form and you’ll be sent a confirmation email from wordpress<at>bloggerbabes<dot>com with an activation link.
Click on that link and congratulations! You’re in. You can login by going back to the forum login page we visited earlier.
If you have trouble signing in right after registration, try clearing your cache.
Step 2: Your Profile Page & Groups
Click on your username from the forum login page…
…to arrive at your personal profile (which will be ugly and empty at first—you’ll have to use your own style to pretty it up like Ponn’s!).
Here’s where the fun begins. As you can see, there are more than a handful of tabs for you to explore on your profile page. The ones we’ve highlighted are:
- your activity thread, which works like a Facebook or Twitter feed and allows you to see member activity in real time (news alert: Ponn and Brittany are now friends!),
- your notifications, which alerts you of friend requests, etc., and
- groups, the #1 most important part of the BB Forum.
The forum groups are where the majority of our chatting will take place, so we highly recommend that the first thing you do after creating your account is hitting that Groups tab and joining the “New Here?” and “General Discussion” groups. Go ahead and join other groups if you’re interested, too.
Presently, there are eight groups in total:
- New Here? Introduce Yourself + Rules.
- General Discussion
- Giveaways and Contests
- Blogger Opportunities
- Teens
- Private: Invitation-only Groups: Blogging Building Blocks Subscribers
- Private: Invitation-only Groups BB Bringhub Ambassadors
- Private: Invitation-only Groups Teen Board
To join a public group, all you have to do is press the button and you’re in.
To request to be part of a private group, you’ll have to first request a friendship with the group owner. In the case of #6, #7 and #8, you’re looking for @ponnsabra. Once you are friends, you will be able to request access.
To post in a group, click on the group’s name. Initially, you’ll see the rules of the group, the topic of discussion, etc. Scroll down and you’ll find the group’s activity feed, where you can see updates from all members as well as post your own.
Step 3: Requesting Friendships
To make friends, simply go to a user’s profile and hit “add friend.” A friendship request will be sent to the user, which they must then accept (which, again, will show up in your notifications).
Start looking for potential friends now through the member’s directory.
Bonus: Using Your Status Bar
WordPress users will be familiar with the black status bar that appears across the top of your blog when you’re logged in. Now that you’re a member of Blogger Babes, it’ll appear for you, too. This makes checking notifications more convenient.
And just in case you’re so addicted you need to force yourself away… hover over your name and icon and the logout button will appear.
By the way, our first big forum event, the 5 Day Boost Your Blog challenge, has begun!

How are you liking the forum so far?
